Radiantly healthy skin, hair, feet, hands, eyes, and nails. Commercial beauty products make this promise every day and live up to it with varying degrees of success. Stephanie Tourles offers a better solution to everyone frustrated with the endless cycle of expensive, synthetic, famous-name cosmetics that often fall short of expectations.

Take control of beauty treatments with homemade products that use safe, nourishing ingredients to pamper the body and soothe the senses.

Tourles, a licensed esthetician, herbalist, and aromatherapist, has developed 175 recipes that are fun, simple, and immensely satisfying to make in home kitchens. Her natural beauty treatments deliver the results promised by department store brands — skin, hair, and nails that glow with vitality and inner wellness. Lotions, scrubs, toners, balms, and masks polish and balance the skin, soothe current problems, and prevent future ones. Shampoos, rinses, and conditioners tone the scalp, boost highlights, and leave hair soft and shiny.

The book's whole-body coverage also includes recipes for hand and footcare, nail treatments, shaving cream, and even popular spa treatments such as microdermabrasion exfoliants, detox and cellulite soaks, ayurvedic oils, and herbal cold salves. Most important, there is never any doubt about the purity of these ingredients!

Each formula is clearly presented in recipe style, with notes on prep time, storage, and uses. Many products can be customized according to personal needs, whim, or mood, and they all use readily available, natural ingredients. Organic Body Care Recipes is a natural treasure for every body.

175 Homemade Herbal Formulas for Glowing Skin & a Vibrant Self

"I have been reading your book, "Organic Body Care Recipes", and I have been completely loving it! I work full-time and as soon as I get home from work, I want to start concocting as many potions as possible! Yesterday, my husband walked into a room, and there I was, with essential oils, jars, measuring spoons, and a glass vial with a dropper, spread across a table, with yoru book open, FULL of Post-It's and notes. I was creating an "elixir recipe". He thinks it's adorable and I'm totally obsessed. I have always been into products, testing them, accumulating them, reading about them, etc. Over the last few years, I have been trying to move towards more natural products, but I am always at the mercy of the people who make them. It is SO empowering and FUN to be making them myself, and knowing exactly what is inside, and the healing benefits. I am IN LOVE with the "Protection Cream" and body brushing!"  sent by - Heather Wahba-Pallone

 Good morning,
I have made your cocoa butter creamy lotion several times - it is our most favorite cream!! In fact, I could get addicted to using it overly much all day because of its beautiful silky finish and exquisite aroma. I like to use it on my face, too. Thanks for your wonderful book (Organic Body Care Recipes) - it is such a treasure. Keep writing - I am looking forward to your next book this winter...... Junell Lynch

"Thank you, Stephanie, for SO much inspiration. I picked up a copy of your "Organic Body Care Recipes" in Tasmania, Australia, a few years ago and it is definitely one of my favorites! Love, Love, Love the "Raspberry Refining Mask" - GORGEOUS . . . ox" - Cresta Clarke

Hi Stephanie!
I came across your book, "Organic Body Care Recipes", while studying for the Art and Science of Herbalism course through Rosemary Gladstar. I have absolutely fallen in love with that book, but what originally caught my eye was the write up about you. I really want to become a holistic esthetician which was my reason for taking the course with Rosemary. I have been so inspired by your book because it has made me feel like my dream is one that can really happen......Sincerely, Megan Szabo

I attended your presentation in Port Townsend last winter and have just begun infusing jojoba oil with new growth of Douglas fir.... oh my, such an intoxicating scent. thank you thank you thank you! I love it and it has three more weeks to go.... Jo Beachy"

"You are such a respected author, Stephanie.

Your books fill the bookshelves of most people I know who make their own (herbal) products . . . your books were instrumental in my learning this "craft" we call herbalism. Please don't give up writing! You're just too good at it!" - Bonnie Kavanaugh, RN, and author of "Rubies In The Sand: Recipes From The Cape Cod Cranberry Bogs" - Copyright 2010.

“Dear Stephanie:   I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your book, “Organic Body Care Recipes”.  I have made a few things, so far my favorite is the  “Lavender & Roses Gentle Cleanser”.  I have used it every morning for the past four weeks and follow with the “Ph Balancing Toner” and I see an amazing difference in my skin.  I also made some “Cocoa Butter Creamy Lotion”, not only was it fun to make, but I love the way it soothes my skin from head to toe!

The list of suppliers was so helpful.  I already used Mountain Rose Herbs, but now I have many places to choose from and don’t have to search myself.  You made it so easy.

Thanks for sharing your expertise.  I look forward to making many more recipes and sharing them with my family and friends.”

Such an awesome book, I daresay it's changed me. I'm planning to go as organic as I can with my skin care from now on. I made the Evening Luxe Elixir over the weekend and it's fabulous!! Love the smell. Guess what the family is getting for Christmas? Gifts made from your book. Thank you!! Hope there is a sequel someday." - Lynnette Seymour
